About This Section

This part of Grain Glass Notes is given over entirely to window installation in Riverside, CA, from first specification through to what the finished work should look like.

Independence

The site is editorial rather than commercial. It describes how work is done and what it costs, and takes no position on who should do it.

Why the Focus Is Narrow

The scope here is deliberately tight. Narrowing the subject is the only way the detail stays accurate long enough to be useful.

What Gets Written About

Guides concentrate on judgement calls rather than procedure. The decisions a homeowner makes are almost always about specification and sequence, not about how a tool is held.

What Guides Cannot Do

Guides describe the general case. It is background, meant to make the conversation with a contractor a more informed one.
